Privacy Policy

Effective September 1, 2026. This policy describes how Permit Wire (“we”) handles information for thepermitwire.com and the Permit Wire product.

What Permit Wire is

Permit Wire is a daily oil and gas permit intelligence product for landmen and small operators, covering Texas and New Mexico. The daily product today is email. When you create an account, you may sign in to view permit intelligence derived from public state filings.

Google user data

If you use Sign in with Google, Google may share with us:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your Google profile picture

We use that information only to create and authenticate your Permit Wire account, identify you in the product, and send account or product messages you request (for example, permit alerts you subscribe to).

We do not sell Google user data. We do not use Google user data for advertising. We do not use Google user data to train machine-learning or AI models. We do not share Google user data with third parties except as needed to run authentication (Google and our auth provider) or if required by law.

Limited employees or contractors who operate Permit Wire may access account email addresses to provide support or fix production issues.

Other information we process

Permit, well, and operator records come from public government sources such as the Texas Railroad Commission and New Mexico Oil Conservation Division. That is not Google user data.

We may store product usage needed to run the service (account creation time, last login, alert preferences). If you pay for a plan later, payment is handled by a payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.

If you email us, we keep the message long enough to reply and operate the service.

Retention and deletion

We keep Google account identifiers for as long as your account is open. Email us at support@thepermitwire.com to request account deletion. We will delete your Google-linked account data from our systems within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal or security reasons.
